Overview

Discover the magic and enigma of Kathmandu Valley with its major historic, cultural and religious sights where museums, temples, courtyards and squares reveal the best of traditional art, crafts and architecture of the bygone dynasties. We then continue to Nagarkot, a charming town on the eastern rim of Kathmandu Valley, from where the epic sunrise over the Indrawati Valley is said to be one of the best in the region. The tour then moves on to the beautiful Himalayan setting of Pokhara, Nepal’s most popular lakeside holiday spot, where we’ll paddle around the lake and enjoy the majestic mountain views.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

You will be greeted by our representative at the arrival area and provided hotel transfer. Time permitting, we will embark on a guided tour of valley’s main attractions including UNESCO World Heritage Sites of historical and religious importance. The tour includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambunath (The Monkey Temple) and Boudddhanath, one of the largest Buddhist shrines in the world and a major pilgrimage destination. In the evening, we will visit a traditional Nepalese restaurant for a fine meal accompanied by folk music and a cultural program.

Day 02: Bhaktapur and Patan Tour, drive to Nagarkot

After breakfast we will travel by private vehicle to Patan Durbar Square, a World Heritage Site with an extraordinary array of temples, statues and artwork with exquisite carvings. Lunch at Patan before transferring to the ancient Bhaktapur Durbar Square which shares some similarities to Patan Durbar Square but is a more expansive architectural feast. From Kathmandu, we drive to the famed hill station of Nagarkot just in time to savor the spectacular sunset panorama.

Day 03: Morning activities and drive to Pokhara

Enjoy the breathtaking vista from the magnificent sunrise view over the eastern Himalayas! We’ll then depart Nagarkot after breakfast for Pokhara. The scenic drive will take us through scenic countryside to the famous lakeside city where we can relax for the evening and savor the spectacular mountain views over Phewa Lake.

Day 04: Pokhara Tour

Enjoy the sunrise views from Sarangkot – a village that offers an unsurpassed panorama of the Himalaya and Pokhara Valley. Take in the unforgettable sunrise with views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), the Annapurna Range and Hiuchuli. After breakfast we hike / drive down to Pokhara for a full day sightseeing ahead including the Seti Gorge and Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor Cave and Tibetan Refugee Camps. We will boat on Phewa Lake, the second largest lake of Nepal. An hour’s walk up the other side of the lake is the World Peace Pagoda.

Day 05: Morning drive to Kathmandu

Depart for Kathmandu after breakfast and enjoy views of the Marsyangdi and Trisuli rivers and splendid scenery of the countryside and terraced farmland. Later in the evening, enjoy the sights and sounds of bustling Thamel and reminisce upon an amazing journey.

Day 06: Final Departure

We hope that you enjoyed your journey! Our representative will transfer you to the airport approximately 3 hours ahead of your flight time. We bid you farewell and hope to see you in Nepal again, soon. Or get ready for the next adventure.
